- Founder, Maths, Maths: A Click Away
Hi, I’m Hafsa Mateen, a passionate and experienced Maths teacher and the founder of Maths: A Click Away. In this blog post, I want to share with you my journey of becoming a Maths educator and how I can help you achieve your Maths goals.
I have always loved Maths since I was a kid. I enjoyed solving problems and finding patterns in numbers. I decided to pursue my passion and study mathematics at Kinnaird College, Lahore, where I completed my BSc. (Hons.) and MPhil in Business Administration. During my studies, I also started teaching Maths to other students as a part-time job. I realized that teaching was not only a way to share knowledge, but also to share my enthusiasm with others.
Together with two more international authors, I did research on “Social media and buying behaviour of women in Pakistan towards the purchase of textile garments” which was published in the Business Management Dynamics Journal.
I have been teaching Maths since 2006, and I have worked with students of different ages, levels and backgrounds. I have taught in multiple schools which include Lahore Grammar School (LGS) and Bloomfield Hall Scholl (BHS). I have developed my own methods and techniques to make Maths easy, fun and accessible for everyone. I believe that Maths is not a boring or difficult subject, but a creative and logical one that can enhance your thinking skills and open up new opportunities for you.
I co-founded Maths: A Click Away with my two dear friends, but they had to leave it because of their personal engagements. I’m so proud of what we achieved together, and I’m grateful for their friendship and continuing support. Together we learnt a lot from each other. They are still my best buddies, and we keep in touch regularly. Even though they are no longer part of this venture, they are always there for me.
